Hyper-V Manage VMs (Enterprise Edition only)

The action "Hyper-V Manage VMs" allows you to start, restart, shutdown, suspend, save, or resume a virtual machine on a Hyper-V.

General Settings

Action is enabled

This option sets whether the action will be executed or not.

Name

The name of the action (max. 255 characters). Choose a meaningful name to clearly identify the action.

Description

An optionally description for the action (max. 512 characters).

Enable Logging

This option sets if the execution of the action should be logged to the action log.

Connection Settings

Host

Here you can choose the Hyper-V cluster or node on which you want to manage the virtual machines.

Port

Here you can set the port which is used to connect to the host.

Credentials

Here you can either select an existing credential set or create a new one by inserting a display name, an username and a password.

VM-Operation Settings

Name

Here you can choose the virtual machine for the operation.

Warning:  On a cluster, with more then one virtual machine with the same name, it is undefined witch virtual machine will be used.

Operation

Here you can choose the operation for the virtual machine.

Timeout

The maximum time in seconds the virtual machine has until it is restarted (only possible to set for the forced-restart-operation).
