Email Notification

The action "Email Notification" allows you to send an email to one or more specified recipients, for example to inform you about a possible error.

General Settings

Action is enabled

This option sets whether the action will be executed or not.

Name

The name of the action (max. 255 characters). Choose a meaningful name to clearly identify the action.

Description

An optionally description for the action (max. 512 characters).

Enable Logging

This option sets if the execution of the action should be logged to the action log.

Connection Settings

SMTP Server

Here you can choose a host from your network which should be used as SMTP server. Also you can enter the host name or IP address of a SMTP server manually (max. 255 characters).

Port

Here you can set the port which is used by the SMTP server for communication.

Encryption

Here you can choose which encryption shall be used to connect to the server. You can choose between:

None

With this option the authentication information is send unencrypted.

SSL

With this option the authentication information is send encrypted. This technique is meanwhile outdated.

TLS

With this option the authentication information is send encrypted.

Credentials

Here you can either select an existing credential set or create a new one by inserting a display name, an username and a password.

Mail Settings

To

From this list you can choose a recipient which is listed in your Active Directory or enter a recipient manually (max. 1024 characters).

CC

From this list you can choose additional recipients which are listed in your Active Directory or enter additional recipients manually (max. 1024 characters).

From

Here you can set the mail address and name of the sender which shall be displayed. (max. 1024 characters).

Subject

Here you can set the subject which will be display in the email (max. 1024 characters).

Message

Here you can set the message of the email (max. 3999 characters).

Add Variable

With this button you can select from the available variables which you can use in your message.

Advanced Mail Settings

Priority

With this option you can set the priority for the email. You can choose between:

High

Higher

Normal

Lower

Low

Sensitivity

With this option you can set the sensitivity for the email. You can choose between:

Normal

Private

Personal

Confidential

Direct SMTP Delivery

With this option you can activate direct SMTP delivery. When using direct delivery the email will not be send using your SMTP server, but send directly to the SMTP server of the recipient.

Host Name

When you activated Direct SMTP Delivery you can set here the host name which is transmitted to the SMTP server of the recipient (max. 255 characters). If you enter nothing, it will be tried to obtain the MX entry for your domain and transmitted. If this fails, the name of your computer will be transmitted.

Attachments

Here you can select files which shall be send as attachment.
