Access to Admin Backend

 

You can define the access of user or security groups to the administrator backend in the setup. It is possible to add multiple users and security groups. You can list the security groups of the current logged in windows user via the windows command line: 'gpresult /V'.

Setup the access:

1.Please logout your account in SpaceObServer Web Access.

2.In the start menu of Windows, please execute the entry 'Configure Administrator Role'.

3.After some seconds, a dialog appears:

a.Please enter the name of a security group or an user account and start the search via the button 'Search'. It is also possible to search in combination with an domain by the following pattern: 'DOMAIN\GROUPNAME'

b.When the search found an user or security group in the Active Directory, then the result will be listed in the select box. Select and apply the entry via the button 'Apply Selection'.

c.The selected group or user will be displayed in this section. Via the button 'Apply', you grant the Windows account the access to the Admin Backend.

4.Open the SpaceObServer Web Access http://hostname/admin in the Browser and login.

 

Note: You can also edit the access to the Administrator Backend in the Role System. By default, the permission is immovalbe activated for the role 'Administrator'.
