ACL-Filter

The ACL (Access Control Lists) of Windows can be applied in SpaceObServer Web Access.

1.Open the SpaceObServer and add a scan.

2.In the 'Scan Options' enable the checkbox 'Calculate Permissions (ACLs) and store in database'. After a scan, SpaceObServer Web Access can filter the data by the scanned ACL.

3.Open the Administrator-Backend of SpaceObServer Web Access and choose the tab 'Roles'.

4.Edit a role.

5.In the section 'Permissions' deactivate the checkbox 'Show also Data where the logged in User is not the Owner and Ignore the ACL Filter'. The filter will be applied after re-login.

6.Scans with an activated ACL-filter are marked with an blue filter-icon in the directory tree.

Note: When the ACL is not activated in the scan options in SpaceObServer but the ACL-filter in SpaceObServer Web Access is active, then SpaceObServer Web Access filters the data by it´s owner. Then the logged in user can only see the data where he is the owner. Scans with this filtered data are marked with an black filter icon in the directory tree.
