Data Lifecycle

Here you can configure a maximum lifetime for certain files. After a scan files matching the configured filter which are older than the max. file lifetime are automatically, archived, moved, copied, or deleted.

Max. File age Set the maximum file lifetime in years, months, weeks, or days here. The configured file operation is executed on files older than this interval.

Date type Choose which type of file time stamp should be used for comparison of the maximum lifetime here. You can choose between “Creation date”, “Last modified”, and “Last access”.

Please note: Some scan targets, e.g. Amazon S3 and Azure Blob Storage, only provide the last modification date. On these targets no files will be affected if “Creation date” or “Last access” is selected.

File Filter Configure a filter for files on which the file operation is processed.

File Operation Select which operation should be processed on the files here. Files can be archived to a ZIP file, moved, copied, deleted, or just passed to an executable as parameter. For more details see also chapter Move Items Dialog
