Amazon S3

Scans an Amazon S3 bucket or any S3-compatible object storage. First choose which service you want to connect to:

Amazon S3

For a standard Amazon S3 bucket, fill in the following fields:

Bucket name:

The name of the Amazon S3 bucket you want to scan.

Prefix (optional):

Restricts the scan to a subpath (prefix) within the bucket. For example, to scan only the “subfolder” inside “folder”, enter folder/subfolder.

Access key:

The access key of the user to run the scan as.

Secret access key:

The secret access key that belongs to the access key above.

S3-compatible service

For an S3-compatible storage from another provider, the same fields apply, with one addition:

Endpoint:

The address of the S3-compatible service to connect to, for example https://<Endpoint>.com.

You can also start a scan by entering the target directly into the drop-down box above the directory tree. Use s3://* to scan your entire S3 storage or s3://Bucketname/ to scan a certain bucket. Credentials may be supplied as part of the URL: s3://Token:SecretToken@Bucketname/.

In the column “Description”, the storage class of a file (e.g. reduced redundancy or standard) is shown.
